“Free” Tax Lien Hawaii Event Requires a Credit Card to Register

I was so annoyed by the need to download a wallet, I did not pursue the registration. Perhaps I am seeing more of the recent sales practice of calling something free. When, in fact , the event or item must be purchased and a person could possibly get a refund. Are refund and free are not synonymous. These words have different meanings. I do not want to be the kind of salesperson who plays games with words. I will never call something what it is not in order to trick someone into a purchase using a  bait and switch tactic.

In all fairness, the event might actually be free, but for some reason, a credit card is required. I want to be completely transparent by saying I did not pursue the process all the way to the end.

If anyone attends the event, please let me know how my perceptions compare to the real thing.
